Katana Saya Smoke draws inspiration from long established traditions associated with Japanese blacksmiths to introduce this new collection. The luxurious black colour is created by an acid wash applied to the steel following the forging process. In addition to the beautiful black colour, this process adds to the rigidity of the steel and increases its corrosion resistance. The Black Damascus steel retains the superior quality expected from Katana Saya. The 67 Layers of VG-10 steel maintain a Rockwell Hardness Rating of HRC 60+2, a match for any premium kitchen knife. The mesmeric blade would not be complete without a handle of equal luxury. The dark Ebony wood is befitting of this knife’s quality. This hardwood, with a copper ferrule, not only looks striking, but feels robust and well balanced in the hand.
